Nissan Motor CEO: Willing to Share Global Production Network with Dongfeng Group

 

Nissan Motor's CEO, Ivan Espinosa, said that during the business restructuring process, Nissan Motor is willing to share its global production network with its Chinese joint venture partner, Dongfeng Group. Currently, Nissan is collaborating with Dongfeng to develop vehicles, with plans to produce and sell them in China, while also exporting to global markets. Hyundai Motor plans to build a factory in Saudi Arabia with an annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles

 

Hyundai Motor announced that it has established a joint venture with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) for the construction of its new production facility in Saudi Arabia, which is its first manufacturing plant in the Middle East. According to estimates by AutoForecast Solutions, due to the impact of tariffs, automotive production in North America will decrease by approximately 126,000 units in the second quarter of this year. This estimate is based on the production adjustment plans announced by automakers as of May 1st, including both production reduction and increase plans.
